Renew the Victorian Dollhouse blog

Hello everyone, well - I got a little too busy and have neglected the blog posting a bit - but don't fret... there are fun, new and exciting things on the way. I have been researching and planning, planning and researching and I am about ready to get started on a few new design ideas. We will be introducing a few new products and I think - entire new categories! Including wood furniture for your dollhouse!

Our current focus is on the patterns as well as material. The furniture category really will push us away from "supply" products into the "design" products. So we are looking at woods like oak, walnut, cherry, etc... As well as some crazy exotic woods like purple heart and zebra wood! Seriously, this wood is AMAZING! But very costly so we are moving very slowly to make sure that everything looks the way I imagine! I am all in with a new line to include a modular hutch as well a few other "things"! :)

Victorian Dollhouse - Adjusting Pricing this Week!

Hello Everyone! Well, I have been very busy working on some new products for the Victorian Dollhouse line - as well as full additions to existing kits and more!

But, awhile back I posted that I was going to adjust our pricing and the time has come and we have mastered our process to provide a GREAT product and do so for less cost. Our line is relatively new, so there was a learning curve - but we are ready to go!

We will be announcing the new pricing next Monday! but will have everything updated by Friday night! So for those that follow this blog, or discover this post will find a price reduction!

Victorian Dollhouse Dormer Kit Available for Sale... Kind of.

Hello Everyone!  Well, I have finished the Victorian Dollhouse Dormer kit and it will come with 3 gables with every kit (so you can pick the one that looks best for your house) as well it comes ready to fit the Houseworks windows - HW5039 - Victorian Single Window - 3 5/8"W x 3 13/16"H and Fits opening: 2 9/16"W x 2 15/16"H x 1/2"D - or the HW5040 for a more simple look.  Technically this dormer will work for any dollhouse roof line set at 45 degrees.  This dormer will currently only work on the 12/12 - 45 degree roof - however, we have more roof angles coming soon!

A Victorian Dollhouse Dream...

I have been actively working on a custom Victorian Dollhouse product line for quite some time, but for the first time - I found myself dreaming of new ideas and concepts for Victorian Dollhouses. I won't share all of the ideas, but I found that I am going to change how things are done and represented. First, we are going to be adjusting our pricing to provide all of our products for a lower cost. As we have built the line and connected with the community and developed new ideas - we have found new efficiencies which allow us to make the products with the same quality for less cost. A simple change was that we have begun to produce and stock products on a MUCH larger scale - but doing this - we do not need to shift gears while producing product and fulfilling orders. This will speed up the overall process to fulfill orders, and save costs further! Our goal is to become the industry leader not just in the number of hobbyists using our product, but in the quality of the product itself! The design, the cut, the wood quality, etc.!

Well, it has been sitting on my work bench for a few weeks now - it is complete and ready to go - a 6 piece Victorian Dollhouse Dormer kit which will come in a few different sizes and provide a unique kit to make a variety of windows fit. So I snapped a photo with my iPhone, not the best - but you will get the idea!
